In 2017, Design House played a key role in drafting a 5-year strategic plan for Family and Children’s Services Renfrew County, which will guide the agency from 2017 through 2022.
From February through April, senior FCSRC staff facilitated a series of focus groups to gather input from representatives of its client and service-provider groups, partners and staff. Participants provided feedback on what’s working, what’s not and what needs to change.
Based on this input, Design House tabulated raw data and drafted the final text document, integrating many of direct quotes provided by participants of the focus groups.
The three current strategic directions were updated to closely reflect the Agency’s tagline – Together, A Caring Community.
These three directions form the nucleus of the Agency’s ecosystem: an infographic comprising three overlapping clusters centered on the FCSRC logo. Each cluster is supported by a set of five concrete strategies topped by an actionable priority.
Thus, the FCSRC Strategic Plan 2017 to 2022 has been shaped by the people who have a vested interest in the Agency’s programs and services. It captures their needs and goals, is steeped in a language of “respect, honesty and passion,” and provides guiding principles for building healthy and caring community.
